Infant Room

In the infant room, we provide activities to stimulate the physical, intellectual and social/emotional development of your child. These activities include:

  • Motor development (tummy time, movement, grasping, crawling, creeping, walking, running)

  • Self recognition (mirror) and social interaction

  • Baby Sign Language

  • Language development

  • Music (nursery rhymes, poems, finger plays)

  • Sensory integration (sensory table, multiple textures, art opportunities)

  • Story time

  • Outdoor play (walks, play area) weather permitting

The older infants also work on drinking from cups and sitting on chairs before transitioning to the Toddler Room.

We are licensed to care for 20 infants from ages 6 weeks to 18 months. The staff in the Infant Room consists of a combination of lead teachers, assistant teachers and aides. The room is always staffed with a minimum ratio of one staff member per four children.
